The Evaluation and QI Analyst is responsible for supporting program evaluation and quality improvement for assigned programs by analyzing program needs, developing survey and assessment tools, implementing evaluation plans, and compiling reports in conjunction with identified project goals. Works with internal and external stakeholders to support the full data and analytics life cycle from understanding program needs through data collection, preparation, analyses and reporting.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implements program evaluations with internal program managers and directors and external partners
  • Analyzes funder requirements; develops program metrics, creates surveys, assessments, and data collection tools; ensures data quality; conducts data analyses; and develops reports
  • Oversees enhancements to assigned data systems to support data collection and reporting needs.
  • Supports quality improvement teams in implementing PDSA cycles
  • Analyzes and presents data from multiple public and internal data sources to support needs assessments and the development of community action plans
  • Ensures client data is accurately and completely recorded in data systems according to funder timelines and requirements
  • Develops and provides training for staff to ensure correct documentation in data systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Master's degree preferred in sociology, psychology, public health, public administration or related field
  • Two years' experience in designing and implementing evaluation plans in a social services or public health environment
  • Experience collecting, managing, cleaning, analyzing, reporting, and interpreting quantitative data using statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R).
  • Knowledge of relational database structures and ability to perform queries and retrieve and integrate data from multiple tables and/or sources in SQL and/or MS Access
  • Experience in quality improvement and outcomes/performance management desired
  • Qualitative evaluation experience, including focus group design and analysis, helpful.
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently, as a member of a team and/or with internal and external stakeholders with minimum guidance
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment while adhering to deliverables and timeliness
  • Valid driver's license, car and current insurance policy

  • Must be able to see to read documents and hear well enough to communicate with others
  • Must be able to write, type on a computer, and use a telephone
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds

Work Environment:

Travels regularly or as needed to sites where traffic, weather, and other environmental conditions may be encountered; otherwise works in a climate-controlled professional office environment generally free from hazards and other adverse working conditions or works remotely.
